About Chelbie

Chelbie A. Mitchell joined Reed, Armstrong, Mudge, & Morrissey, P.C., as an associate in August 2017. Chelbie was born and raised in Southern Illinois. She graduated summa cum laude from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Chelbie attended Southern Illinois University School of Law where she obtained her juris doctor degree, graduating cum laude in May 2017.

While attending law school, Chelbie was the commentary managing editor of the Journal of Legal Medicine and a Taylor Mattis Fellow. The Journal of Legal Medicine will publish Chelbie’s commentary, From Dark Dens to Suburban Townhouses: Creating a Centralized System for Prescription Opiate Monitoring to Combat the Addiction Epidemic in the United States, in 2018. She also worked as a research assistant and co-author on the Health Care Legal Newsletter for the Illinois State Bar Association.
