Tara English (of counsel)
An associate with the firm from 1996 to 2000, Tara English returned to Reed, Armstrong of counsel in 2006. She practices in the area of civil litigation, with an emphasis on analytical writing and appellate matters. She has argued three cases before the Fourth and Fifth District Illinois Appellate Courts, addressing issues of underinsured motorist coverage and premises liability. Reported decisions in which Ms. English was counsel of record include Kellermann v. Car City Chevrolet-Nissan, Inc., 306 Ill. App. 3d 285, 713 N.E.2d 1285, 239 Ill. Dec. 435 (5th Dist. 1999), and Flatt v. Country Mut. Ins. Co., 289 Ill. App. 3d 1097, 682 N.E.2d 1228, 225 Ill. Dec. 151 (4th Dist. 1997).
Born on September 6, 1971 in Springfield, Illinois, Tara grew up in Highland, Illinois and graduated from Highland High School in 1989. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from The University of Chicago in 1993. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, Tara continued her education at the University of Illinois College of Law. While in law school, she interned with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Illinois, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of Illinois, and the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office.
In 1996, Tara English graduated magna cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law. She was admitted to the Illinois Bar in November of 1996 and is a member of the Illinois Bar Association. Tara has been married to Chris for eleven years, and they have two children. |
